Graphite Crucible

Graphite crucible, also known as molten copper ladle, molten copper, etc., refers to a type of crucible made by firing graphite, clay, silica and wax as raw materials. Graphite crucibles are mainly used to smelt copper, brass, gold, silver, zinc and lead and other non-ferrous metals and their alloys.
Graphite crucible is made of natural flake graphite as the main raw material and plastic refractory clay or carbon as the binder. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, strong thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance and long service life. In the process of high temperature use, the coefficient of thermal expansion is small, and it has a certain strain resistance to rapid cold and rapid heat. It has strong corrosion resistance to acidic and alkaline solutions, has excellent chemical stability, and does not participate in any chemical reactions during the smelting process. The inner wall of the graphite crucible is smooth, and the molten metal liquid is not easy to leak and adhere to the inner wall of the crucible, so that the liquid metal has good fluidity and castability, and it is suitable for casting in various molds. Because of the above-mentioned excellent characteristics of graphite crucible, it is widely used for smelting alloy tool steel and smelting non-ferrous metals and their alloys.
